This morning we took the dead lead battery out of a Triumph Daytona 675 and exchanged it for a Shido connect lithium battery. 

Dynavolt acid battery weighted 3.095 kilos 

Shido Connect weighted 0.787 kilos. 

Now that’s nearly a 300% weight loss by our simple maths, not only that but how else can you lose 2.3 kilos just by undoing a few screws.

The main feature is the Bluetooth connector on the battery, hold the on/off button down for 3 seconds to activate it and then it connects via Bluetooth to the app on the smart phone 

Whilst you are in the range of the bike you can then check on the status of your battery on the phone without the need of removing your plastics etc
