Renthal's R4 SRS Road chain is a specially developed sealed ring chain utilizing Renthal's Self Regulating Seal (SRS) technology to increase the service life of the chain in road applications. The special SRS ring is pre-loaded during assembly creating a spring effect. As the chain wears, conventional o-rings and x-rings lose their seal, however the SRS ring has the ability to unload itself during use keeping a tighter seal against the side plates. This offers increased longevity as the specially formulated grease remains trapped around the critical pin and bushing area longer while also keeping dirt, water and other contaminants out.

Renthal Sprockets

Renthal hard anodised sprockets are specifically designed for road and road racing applications. They feature all the benefits of Renthal off-road aluminium rear sprockets but with increased longevity from the hard anodised process. Hard anodising is an integral surface coating which significantly increases the hardness and wear resistance of the chain wheel surface. Renthal hard anodised rear sprockets are precision CNC manufactured to extremely high tolerances. The high strength is especially enhanced by using a 7075 T6 aluminium alloy coated in an ultra hard wearing finish for extreme mileage. The rear sprockets computer aided Ultra light design gives the maximum reduction of unsprung weight at the rear wheel, to give maximum power transfer. The Renthal rear sprockets are 33% lighter than steel and the self-cleaning mud grooves prevent dirt build up and help keep the sprocket clean
